
April 18, 2025 – Uganda’s photography, tourism, and sports communities have been struck with grief as news of the untimely death of Saad Byakuleka, famously known as Saad Shots, a renowned photographer, creative, and former DJ at Open Gate FM, broke. Saad Shots, who had a deep passion for motorbikes, evidenced by his final tweets on X, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident at Bugonga Junction near the Entebbe Air Base. According to Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan, Luke Owoyesigyire, two motorcycles were involved in a fatal collision, and both riders were pronounced dead at the scene.
