How to Block MTN Uganda Promotional Messages
Dial *196# on your MTN Uganda line for the following SMS-related alert options:
1 MTN Subscription Service
2 MTN Messages
3 MTN Rewards
4 Subscription Alerts
5 Allow All
6 Status
7 Block All
Now, before you opt for Block All, keep in mind that some of the options above may still be important to you. Here is what each one covers.
Option 1 (MTN Subscription Service) covers MTN CRBT messages related to Caller Ring Back Tones.
Option 2 (MTN Messages) contains options, listed below, allowing you to block or allow specific types of message alerts. You can also access this menu directly by dialling *196*2#, then replying with the corresponding digit to block or allow each category individually.
