If you missed the briefing session at your school, here’s everything you need to know.

Important Guidelines for All PLE Candidates: Candidates are reminded that no extra time will be given for any paper. The time indicated on the timetable includes the period for reading through questions.

Arrive Early: Report to the examination hall by 8:30 a.m. for morning papers and 1:30 p.m. for afternoon papers. This allows time for identification and checking before the paper starts.

No Calculators or Mobile Phones: Calculators, mobile phones, or any communication devices are not allowed in or near the examination room.

Use of the Toilet Before the Exam: Relieve yourself before entering the examination room. Leaving during the paper is only allowed with special permission from the Chief Invigilator, and you must be accompanied.

Checking and Identification: Present yourself for checking at the entrance of the examination hall. Invigilators will ensure you are not carrying unauthorised materials such as notes, textbooks, or papers.

Examination Materials: Do not take notes or textbooks into the room. Possessing them during the examination counts as malpractice and could lead to disqualification.

Checking the Examination Envelope: Before starting each paper, confirm that the exam envelope has not been opened or tampered with. If you notice any issue, inform the invigilator or contact UNEB.

Candidates with Special Needs: Learners with special needs will be given an additional 45 minutes for each paper.

Avoid Malpractice: Any form of cheating, including copying, sharing answers, or bringing unauthorised materials, is a serious offence.

Writing Your Details: Do not write the name of your school on the question paper. Write only your RANDOM NUMBER as provided by UNEB.

After the Briefing: Once the candidate briefing is completed, no further teaching or coaching is allowed before the examinations.

The PLE marks a crucial step for every Primary Seven pupil in Uganda. Following these instructions carefully ensures a smooth and fair examination process.

All candidates are encouraged to stay calm, manage their time wisely, and give their best effort.
