Elon Musk Called “Childish” by Father Errol Musk on VLADTV (Interview)

Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, has once again expressed disapproval of his son’s behaviour, calling him “childish” in a recent interview with VLADTV on YouTube. In a two-and-a-half in-depth discussion, Errol criticized Elon’s choice of words and tendency to make controversial statements, which he believes could have serious consequences.

Errol Musk on Elon’s Public Statements
Amidst the ongoing controversies surrounding DOGE and the “Trump-Elon administration” in both the press and on X, Errol Musk recounted an instance where he had to caution Elon about his public statements. According to him, Elon has a habit of using derogatory language, such as calling people “douchebags,” without considering the potential repercussions. Errol pointed out that in South Africa, such insults could easily provoke a physical confrontation, where “retribution” is a common response. Errol Musk further emphasized that unlike in America, the police in South Africa would likely dismiss complaints about verbal insults, leaving individuals to resolve conflicts on their own.

Criticism of Elon’s Controversial Tweets on X (Formerly Twitter)
One of Errol Musk’s most striking criticisms concerned Elon’s recent statement about the H-1B visa issue (A visa for skilled workers). Elon had publicly declared that “he would F*** them in the face” if anyone tried to stop the visas—a movie quote from Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder (2008).

Errol found this language completely inappropriate, especially for someone in Elon’s position of authority, implying that such remarks should not be coming from a business leader.

Expressing disbelief over Elon’s communication style, Errol deemed it reckless and immature. “He is still a little childish,” he remarked. He warned that if Elon were to use such language in a direct confrontation, he should be prepared for severe consequences.

Errol Musk’s Take on Elon Musk’s Political Involvement?

“The political pool is very deep. You can swim as much as you like, try as hard as you want, but you’ll never reach the bottom or the other side. No one in history is labelled as ‘he conquered politics.’ No one.” Errol Musk in a VLADTV Interview

Recalling South Africa’s Violent Past
During the interview, Errol Musk also reflected on the violent environment in South Africa during Elon’s youth. He referenced an account from his other son Kimbal Musk, who recalled witnessing a brutal stabbing on public transport. The victim was attacked without warning, and blood spilt across the floor, leaving a lasting impression on him. Errol used this example to highlight the extreme dangers of that era, suggesting that people today may not fully understand the severity of the violence in South Africa at the time.

A Father’s Disapproval
This is not the first time Errol Musk has been critical of his son. His comments reflect ongoing concerns about Elon’s outspoken nature and the potential backlash it could bring. While Elon Musk remains a dominant figure in the tech business world, and now politics his father’s words serve as a reminder that even those closest to him see flaws in his approach to public communication.
