School Pay is a school fees payment system in Uganda built by the tech firm Service Cops. It launched in 2016 with Seeta High School as its first and only user. Before School Pay, paying fees meant parents lining up in long bank queues or carrying cash to schools.
Today, School Pay has become a household name for anyone paying school fees in Uganda, with almost all schools using it to handle school fees payments, UNEB payments, and even students’ pocket money.
How to pay school fees using Airtel Money

Select 6 (Pay school fees)
Select 2 (School Pay)
Select 1 (Pay School Fees)
Enter the student’s School Pay code provided by the school
Enter the Amount
Enter your Airtel Money PIN to confirm payment.
School Pay using My Airtel App
Open the Airtel App and select “School Fees” on the home screen under “Quick Actions.”
Tap “Pay School Fees.”
Enter the student’s School Pay code, the amount and your phone number.
Tap “Pay Fee”
A USSD prompt will appear on your screen to authorise the transaction; enter your Airtel Money PIN to confirm.
Once the payment is confirmed, you’ll receive an SMS with a link to the PDF receipt. You should download and save it as proof of payment when required by the school.
