Ugandan Police Force Recruitment 2025: 10,000 Officers this March

The Uganda Police Force has announced a massive recruitment drive, set to enlist 10,000 new officers in 2025. This, for the hustlers and bayilibi, presents an opportunity for stable employment, career growth, and a chance to serve their nation. Who Can Apply?

  • To be eligible for recruitment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National Identification Card or confirmation letter from the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA).
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Be physically and medically fit for service.
  • Be willing to serve anywhere in Uganda under any conditions.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Not be a serving or former officer of any other security agency.
  • Education Requirements
  • To qualify, candidates must have at least a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) obtained in a single sitting, not earlier than 2020. The minimum academic qualifications include:
  • Four credits, including either English or Mathematics (traditional grading system).
  • For competency-based grading (the new curriculum babies), at least four “C” grades, including either English or Mathematics, and at least a “D” grade in the other subject.

How to Apply
The application process is straightforward, but you need to ensure you follow all the requirements to avoid disqualification.

  • Write a handwritten application letter addressed to the Inspector General of Police.
  • Attach the following documents:
  • Photocopies of academic certificates.
  • A valid National ID.
  • Three recent passport-sized photos.
  • An identity card or letter of introduction from your last school.
  • Recommendation letters from LCI, LCIII, and the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of your district.

Submit your application at the nearest Police District or Divisional Headquarters before the deadline of March 21, 2025.
