
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially released the 2025 examination timetables for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) for Primary Seven (P7) candidates, the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) for Senior Four (S4) students, and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) for Senior Six (S6) candidates.
The exams are scheduled to begin on 10th October for UCE students, 31st October for PLE candidates, and 7 November 2025 for UACE candidates. With over 1.4 million registered candidates nationwide, this represents a 7.5% increase from 2024. UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo emphasised the importance of strict adherence to the schedules and warned that malpractice could lead to disqualification.

UCE candidates will sit their final paper on 7 November 2025, with Technology and Design (Design and Drawing) in the morning session and Arabic (Reading Comprehension and Writing) in the afternoon. This concludes the roughly one-month examination period for 432,025 registered candidates.
UNEB has not yet announced an official release date for the results, though they are usually released around February 2025.
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Timetable 2025
The UACE exams for 166,433 candidates will commence with a candidate briefing on 7 November 2025.
The first papers will begin on 10th November, with the morning session covering Theory of Government & Constitutional Development, History of Africa (1855–1914), and Physics. The evening session will include Literature in English (Prose & Poetry), Fasihi Ya Kiswahili (Nathari na Ushari), and Physics.
The exams will conclude on 5th December 2025, with the morning session for Art: Craft A Graphic Design (Planning) and the afternoon session for Engineering Metal Work and Art: Craft A Graphic Design (Test).
