
Hey iPhone user, are you trying to cancel your X Premium subscription but stuck at the unclickable “Manage your subscription through the platform you subscribed on” when you open X > Premium? This message appears because X requires cancellations to be handled on the same platform where the payment was made.
If you subscribed to one of the X paid subscriptions on desktop or entered your card details directly on X using an iPhone browser, the subscription is managed on X itself. If you subscribed on iPhone through the App Store, whether using Apple Pay, a card, or Apple balance, Apple controls the subscription.
To cancel any X subscription through Apple, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your Apple ID (Apple Account), select Subscriptions, and you will see a list of all active subscriptions linked to your Apple account. Find X, tap it, and select Cancel Subscription to stop the renewal.
This applies only to iPhone users who subscribed to X Premium through the App Store. If you subscribed on desktop or paid directly on X using your card, open X on desktop or in a mobile browser, select Premium from the main menu, choose Manage Subscription, and cancel your plan there.
