Anthony Glenn Buzbee, the lawyer representing anonymous claims against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, has accused Jay-Z of “harassing” his family. Tony Buzbee’s comments follow the addition of Jay-Z’s name to an anonymous lawsuit that alleges he and Diddy sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.

Jay-Z swiftly responded to the allegations, asserting that he is the victim of a “blackmail attempt” and expressing concern that his three children with Beyoncé will have to “endure” harassment due to these shocking claims.

Just hours after the allegations surfaced, Jay-Z’s family presented a united front at the premiere of Blue Ivy’s feature film debut in Mufasa: The Lion King. Blue Ivy, who voices the character Kiara in the Disney film, posed with her parents on the red carpet.

Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, who had previously liked an Instagram post regarding the allegations against her son-in-law, also joined them. The post she liked was captioned: “Breaking news: Jay-Z, Diddy named in a lawsuit alleging rape of girl, 13.” Her social media activity was noted by attentive followers, who were left wondering if she was celebrating her son-in-law’s unfortunate ordeal.

In what appears to be an escalating war of words, Buzbee has targeted Jay-Z on X. In a lengthy post, he claimed that a circle of media personalities had approached him regarding accusations that he attempted to “extort and blackmail” Jay-Z.

In his response, Buzbee dismissed Jay-Z’s claims as “bogus and laughable,” even quoting Shakespeare.

Buzbee stated: “My response is pretty straightforward. No one has made any threats. Jay-Z’s assertions are bogus and laughable. Instead, our firm sent a standard demand letter seeking mediation on behalf of a woman who alleges Jay-Z sexually assaulted her as a minor.”

Buzbee has alleged that efforts are being made to harass his family and colleagues to the extent of offering former clients money to sue him—which he described as illegal.

The lawyer, married to Frances Moody with four children from a previous marriage, referenced Shakespeare’s Hamlet, writing: “When an alleged perpetrator behaves in this manner, wildly asserting that a basic demand letter is ‘extortion,’ and aggressively using the media to attack the opposing lawyer while at the same time ignoring the allegations being made by the alleged victim, it reminds us of a famous line from Shakespeare: ‘The lady doth protest too much, methinks‘”

His X post declared that his clients “won’t be silenced.”

This follows Jay-Z’s statement on RocNation’s Instagram page, in which he expressed concern for Blue Ivy, 12, fearing she would face questions from her peers about the lawsuit.

Previously, Buzbee shared a photo from his time as a platoon commander in the Marines, claiming that harassment efforts targeted his family and colleagues. He asserted that despite aggressive tactics to discredit him and intimidate his clients, he remains resolute in seeking justice and ensuring his clients are not silenced.

…Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and I am quite certain the sun is coming.”

Buzbee has filed over 100 lawsuits accusing Combs of sexual assault; many did not survive as plaintiffs declined to reveal their identities.
