Ugandan sensational artiste Sheebah Karungi has given birth to a baby boy! This birth, from a pregnancy that almost everyone has had an opinion about, has sent shockwaves of excitement among her fans, the entertainment industry, and of course a few foes here and there.
The news was first confirmed by her close friend and fellow singer, Roden Y Kabako, a former Team No Sleep label-mate, who took to Instagram to share the joyful news on Monday morning, November 25.
Another friend, Ritah Dancehall, also celebrated the news with a heartwarming TikTok video, expressing her joy and congratulations to the new mom. Ritah Dancehall is a sensational dancer who has worked with the Neyanzinza hitmaker.
Sheebah’s pregnancy was first announced during her concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on October 4, where she thrilled her fans with the revelation of her symbolic baby bump that headlined the Neyanziza Concert. The singer had previously been open about resisting societal pressure surrounding motherhood and marriage, making the news a surprise to many.
Speculation has been rife about the identity of the baby’s father, with various names being suggested by fans on social media. Many went as far as pouting to Aaronx of the Njalwaala fame. However, Sheebah has maintained her silence on the matter, fueling further curiosity among her fans.
A hair-raising audio recording, allegedly of the singer, recently surfaced on social media, sparking a dramatic turn of events. It appears to suggest that the singer may have entered into a consensual agreement with a married man, UK Promoter Jaffar Sulaiman, to conceive the child with him, casting a new light on the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy. In the leaked audio she is heard describing the man as having “beautiful kids” and “beautiful humans” (probably the wife) and the singer said she “loved beautiful people” this being the reason she was driven to have a baby with him. The recording seems to suggest that Sheebah and the UK Promoter, with the consent of his wife, agreed that he sires a child with her, in an arrangement, Sheebah herself having known him “for quite some time”
The singer’s decision to give birth in Canada has also sparked interest, with many wondering about the circumstances surrounding the birth.
As news of the baby’s arrival spreads, fans and well-wishers are taking to social media to congratulate Sheebah on the new addition to her family. The singer has not yet personally posted about the birth, but her friends and colleagues are celebrating the joyous occasion.
Congratulations, Queen Karma. On our part let the newborn be called Junior King Karma!
